A batch of wonderful production stills from the Broadway run of “The Audience” have been added to the photo gallery. Opening Night is this Sunday, March 8, 2015; the limited engagement runs through June 28, 2015 at Broadway’s Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street, New York, NY). Roundabout Theatre Company honored Dame Helen Mirren at its 2015 spring gala, held March 2 in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria. Mirren, currently starring on Broadway in The Audience, was presented with the Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre following a tribute from Broadway vets including Jennifer Garner, Alessandro Nivola, Laura Benanti, Alan Cumming, Laura Osnes, Betsy Wolfe, and more. Mirren made her Broadway debut in 1995 at Roundabout Theatre Company in a Tony-nominated performance in A Month in the Country. The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre is named after the late Jason Robards for his longstanding relationship with Roundabout and for his memorable body of stage work. It is given to those who have made an indelible impact on both Roundabout and the theater world.

Over 100 additional production stills of Helen’s feature films and television projects, ranging from 1971 to 1989, have been added to the photo gallery. Updates include “Cousin Bette”, “The Quiz Kid”, “The Long Good Friday”, “Coming Through” and “Red King White Knight”. Yesterday, Helen has been a guest on The Late Show with David Letterman to promote the Broadway opening of “The Audience”. Watch the clip in the video archive, screencaptures have been added to the photo gallery.

On Sunday, CBS’ Sunday Morning ran a profile on Helen Mirren and the Broadway opening of “The Audience”. The programme featured a couple of scenes from the West End run of the play and included an interview with Helen, on the play, Shakespeare, and – inevitably – the old Parkinson interview. This week, Helen has attended the world-premiere of “Woman in Gold” at the 65th Annual Berlin Film Festival. As usual to the festival, a photocall and press conference were held prior to the film’s premiere. Pictures from all events have been added to the photo gallery.

Helen’s latest theatrical film, “The Hundred-Foot Journey”, has been released on Blu-Ray recently. High definition captures from the film as well as the making of featurettes have been added to the photo gallery.
