The final episode of the fourth series is “The Scent of Darkness”, which picks up years after the original and most notorious first case. This episode won Helen Mirren a Primetime Emmy Award as Best Actress in 1996. A well-deserving conclusion to the show’s success in the 1990s (which would continue just as successful in the 2000s).
