Today, “Collateral Beauty” has been released on DVD and Blu-Ray in the United States. You can buy it or stream it on Amazon, iTunes and Netflix (and probably all other streaming services that I don’t know about). I didn’t expect too much from the film after the bad reviews and a shared Razzie nomination for “The Entire Cast of Once Respected Actors”. Unfortunately, the movie is really not that good – somewhere deep down lies a good idea, but it didn’t get through. Of the actors, Kate Winslet and Naomie Harris came off best, so there’s something positive at least. Screencaptures from the Blu-Ray and from the accompanied featurette that can be found on the disc have have been added to the photo gallery.
Last week, the promotional tour for “Collateral Beauty” moved to Europe with several appearances on British talkshows and press junkets. Meanwhile, other American outlets have broadcast interviews with Helen that were filmed during the US promotion. Have a look at the new videos added below. Since this will probably be the last update of the year, I’d like to wish all visitors of the Helen Mirren Archives a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

On Wednesday, the cast and crew of “Collateral Beauty” were present at the film’s London premiere. Afterwards, Helen Mirren and Will Smith taped an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. Earlier that day, press junkets were filmed, so check back later for lots of great video additions. For now, enjoy the pictures from the London premiere.
On Monday, the cast and crew of “Collateral Beauty” have attended the film’s New York premiere. “The beauty of love, time, and death. Allan Loeb wrote a brilliant screenplay,” said Will Smith, while Helen Mirren said she felt compelled to participate in the project because of “the beauty of the story.” “It is a very, very beautiful and intense story,” added Mirren. Directed by David Frankel and written by Allan Loeb, Collateral Beauty follow ssuccessful New York advertising executive Howard Inlet (Smith) after a tragic loss from which he tries to cope by writing letters to “life,” “death,” and “love.” “You kind of know that you’re going through a very dramatic story, but there’s going to be a payoff that’s so powerful,” said Frankel. Pictures from the premiere have been added to the photo gallery.
Collateral Beauty’s promotion continues with a great batch of videos and new production stills. In David Frankel’s drama, Will Smith questions the universe by writing to Love, Time and Death after retreating from life after a tragedy. Receiving unexpected answers, he begins to see how these things interlock and how even loss can reveal moments of meaning and beauty.
The new clips include a featurette and a making of, two promotinal interviews with Helen – one from the set and one from the press junket – another press junket with Will Smith and a first clip from the film. The new production still feature a different look at Mirren’s character Brigitte and also include co-stars Keira Knightley, Jacob Latimore and Michael Pena. Enjoy the new additions.
The US promotion for “Collateral Beauty” is in full swing and Helen Mirren has been a guest on “The View”, “CBS News” and “CBS This Morning” (the latter two basically did the same interview) for the film’s theatrical release on December 16. Additionally, lots of promotional featurettes and stills have been published, as you can see in the next update.
First, clips from all recent talkshow appearances have been added to our brand-new video archive. Then, pictures from the “Collateral Beauty” press conference in New York, the taping of “Popcorn with Peter Travers” and a luncheon in honor of Helen’s AARP magazine cover have been added to the photo gallery.
Promotion for “Collateral Beauty” is underway with press junkets taking place today. The first to publish their exclusive sit-down with Will Smith and Helen Mirren is Access Hollywood: Smith and Mirren discuss the movie’s emotional undertones with Liz Hernandez. Which of the three main themes do they believe is the hardest for humans to understand in real life – love, time or death?
Here comes the second theatrical trailer for “Collateral Beauty” with some obversations from Entertainment.ie: With its plot drawing likeness with A Christmas Carol and It’s a Wonderful Life, plus a release date of 30th December, it’s clear that Will Smith’s latest aims to get you all worked up after the presents are opened but before the season has wrapped. From the trailer, we’re getting the idea that Will Smith’s character, Howard, is still in mourning over the death of his young daughter. His colleagues, who include Kate Winslet and Edward Norton, are worried about him. Howard starts to write letters to Death (Helen Mirren – ‘turns out death is an elderly white woman,’ quips Howard), Time (Jacob Latimore) and Love (Keira Knightley, who is just permanently crying for some reason). The trailer also seems to give away an awful lot, so you have been forewarned.
The first theatrical trailer for David Frankel’s “Collateral Beauty” has been released today, boasting a great ensemble for what looks like a heartwarming Christmas story. Will Smith stars in Collateral Beauty, a star-studded drama that focuses on the Oscar-nominated actor as a once-successful business man faced with the tragic loss of his young daughter. Smith’s character is left to pick up the pieces, and as his close friend (played by Kate Winslet) describes it, “He used to love life. Now he hates it.” He mourns her passing by writing letters to abstract ideas such as love, time and death, aspects of life he narrates in the trailer, “are the three things that connect every single human being on earth,” continuing, “We long for love, we wish we had more time and we fear death.” Smith then begins receiving surprise visits from the ideas themselves, this time in the form of Helen Mirren as death, Keira Knightley as love and Jacob Latimore as time. “I saw you in her eyes when she called me daddy and you betrayed me,” Will’s character says to Knightley’s during their emotional encounter. “Collateral Beauty”, also starring Edward Norton, Michael Peña and Naomie Harris hits theaters just in time for the holidays on December 16.
Keira Knightley and Edward Norton have joined the cast of New Line’s ensemble drama “Collateral Beauty,” starring Will Smith. David Frankel will direct the film, which is being co-financed by Village Roadshow. Smith is starring alongside Helen Mirren, Naomie Harris and Michael Pena. Smith will portray a successful New York advertising executive who experiences a personal tragedy and retreats from life entirely, prompting his colleagues to devise a drastic plan to help him recover. The movie will hit theaters on Dec. 16, 2016, putting it in prime position for an awards season run. Production will start this month in New York.
