Yesterday, Helen Mirren was among the guests on Graham Norton’s broadcast to promote the theatrical release of “Winchester”. Also on the show was former boyfriend Liam Neeson – sharing a couple of stories about meeting in Ireland while filming “Excalibur” and taking the train from Dublin to Belfast. The other guests were Jamie Dornan and Sigrid. This has been a fun interview, nothing special though, except a first look at either the final American poster or the UK poster for “Winchester”, which looks quite cool. You can watch the full show in the video archive, screencaptures have been added to the photo gallery.

After the teaser trailer has given us the chills back in December, it gets even a little bit chillier with the just-released theatrical trailer for “Winchester”. Here’s the official synospsis by CBS Films: Inspired by true events. On an isolated stretch of land 50 miles outside of San Francisco sits the most haunted house in the world. Built by Sarah Winchester, (Academy Award®-winner Helen Mirren) heiress to the Winchester fortune, it is a house that knows no end. Constructed in an incessant twenty-four hour a day, seven day a week mania for decades, it stands seven stories tall and contains hundreds of rooms. To the outsider it looks like a monstrous monument to a disturbed woman’s madness. But Sarah is not building for herself, for her niece (Sarah Snook) or for the troubled Doctor Eric Price (Jason Clarke) whom she has summoned to the house. She is building a prison, an asylum for hundreds of vengeful ghosts, and the most terrifying among them have a score to settle with the Winchesters… The theatrical trailer can be watched in the video archive. Screencaptures from the new scenes have been added to the photo gallery.

Yesterday, Helen Mirren and Taylor Hackford have attended the South Coast Plaza 50th Anniversary Gala celebration on Monday night. The festivities took place at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, where Henry’s widow Elizabeth Segerstrom hosted a concert by the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, presented by The Philharmonic Society of Orange County. Conducted by maestro Valery Gergiev, a close friend of Henry Segerstrom’s, the program featured Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “Piano Concerto No. 3” performed by Denis Matsuev. The event drew art world luminaries including Ralph Fiennes, Plácido Domingo, Frank Gehry and Bill Viola, who were seated in the president’s circle with Elizabeth Segerstrom and Princess Michael of Kent. Pictures from the event have been added to the photo gallery.

Update and words courtesy JoBlo: The last word we brought you guys on the upcoming Spierig Brothers (“Jigsaw”) haunted house flick “Winchester” starring Helen Mirren and Jason Clarke was when we told you the film was moving up its release date and changing its title. Yes, “Winchester” will now be known as “Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built” and will be released on February 2nd, 2018. Below you will find an all-new still from the film featuring Mirren and Clarke and below that you can check out the film’s teaser poster which boats the killer tagline “Terror is Building”. Classic. Total classic. “Winchester” is written and directed by Michael Spierig & Peter Spierig and stars Helen Mirren, Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook, and Angus Sampson.

Oscar winner. Check. Dame. Check. The only thing missing, logically, is runway model. Well from today on, this can be checked off as well. Together with Jane Fonda and other L’Oreal ambassadors, Helen Mirren took the runway at today’s Le Defile L’Oreal Paris. Pictures have been added to the photo gallery with more information to come.
