The birthday celebration for Helen Mirren continues. Madame Tussauds in London has held a special treat for the actress on Thursday, combining the three wax figures that were sculptured between 2010 and 2013 – featuring one of Helen herself, one of her in character as The Queen and one in character as Jane Tennison. Pictures from the celebration have been added to the photo gallery.

Another previous year of public appearances has been added to the photo gallery. In 2012, Helen Mirren not only promoted two films – the little-seen “The Door” and the successful “Hitchcock”, she also honored co-star Morgan Freeman at the Golden Globes and the Queen at her Diamond Jubilee in London. Further, Helen received Lifetime Achievements from the European Film Awards and the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic. The photo gallery has been updated with pictures of Helen’s public appearances in 2013. It has not yet another busy year, with the West End opening of “The Audience”, for which she won the Olivier award, her performance in “Hitchcock” for which she received Golden Globe, BAFTA and SAG nominations, and her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. With these additions, the gallery now boasts over 100.000 pictures. That’s amazing – and insane, because most of the public appearances haven’t been added yet, so there’s much more to come.

Congratulations to Helen Mirren for winning the Tony Award as Best Actress in a Play for “The Audience”. This is the icing on the cake of an already astonishing season. Helen now joins the ranks of a selected group of actors to have won an Oscar, an Emmy and a Tony. Now, to become an EGOT, only a Grammy is missing – so, fingers crossed for an “Audience” audiobook πŸ™‚ Pictures from the arrivals, show and press room have been added to the photo gallery, with many thanks to Claudia for some great contributions.
