Earliert today, L’Oreal has hosted its annual runway show featuring an all-star cast of movie stars, singers and supermodels celebrating female empowerment on the sidelines of Paris Fashion Week. Cheryl Cole made a spectacular return to the runway for the L’Oreal Le Défilé show, wearing a black leather mini dress. She appeared alongside long-time brand ambassador Eva Longoria, actress Andie McDowell, model Doutzen Kroes and former Spice Girl Geri Horner. A barefoot and smiling Helen Mirren closed the show in a floral dress, running joyfully on stage. Celebrities including Naomi Campbell looked on from the audience of the show, held in the inner courtyard of the neoclassical Monnaie de Paris building. L’Oreal, an official sponsor of fashion week, collaborated with fashion houses such as Balmain, Elie Saab, Karl Lagerfeld and Giambattista Valli to dress its high-profile models. Pictures from the runway have been added to the photo gallery.

On Saturday, Helen Mirren was a guest on the 18th edition of “I Dialoghi di Trani” in Puglia, Italy. Mirren spoke about her love to Italy, which has become a second home in recent years. “A love at first sight, born in the summer of 2007”, when she took part in the Salento International Film Festival, an independent film festival organized in Tricase (Lecce) by her friend Gigi Campanile. “I was in Tricase, when I saw the full moon high over the sea and I perceived the scent and poetry of this land. This was the first spark that tied me to Puglia “. So Mirren conjures up a moment that has the strength of a shock for her.” A couple of pictures from the open air conversation have been added to the photo gallery.

Helen Mirren was a surprise guest at Friday’s Combate Tahoe at the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harvey’s in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, applauding bantamweight champion Gustavo Lopez, who unleashed a right hook from hell to knock Joey Ruquet out on his feet, the challenger falling slowly to the canvas in a frightening manner just one minute, 45 seconds into the bout. Lopez retained his title with the vicious first-round KO in the main event. Pictures have been added to the photo gallery.

Earlier today, Helen Mirren attended the premiere for “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” in London – probably the best thing to do in London on a day like this. She was joined by her “Fast & Furious ” children Jason Statham and Vanessa Kirby, as well as the film’s enemy, Idris Elba. It’s Helen’s second appearance as gangstr mom Magdalene “Queeny” Shaw in the franchise – a third appearance is currently being filmed for the 9th installment of the series, which will be released next Summer. Pictures from the London premiere have been added to the photo gallery.

Karl Lagerfeld famously hated funerals, but the Karl for Ever celebration of his life, which took place last night in Paris on the last day of Paris Men’s Fashion Week, would hopefully have passed muster. The 2,500 guests (many of them immaculately dressed in Chanel and Fendi) packed out the city’s Grand Palais venue, the imposing edifice that was (and still is) the choice location for Chanel’s ready-to-wear fashion shows. Interpreting some of Lagerfeld’s favorite literature and music were esteemed thespians such as Helen Mirren, Tilda Swinton and Fanny Ardent, who read excerpts from works by Virginia Woolf, Edith Sitwell and Stephane Mallarme. Cara Delevingne read a poem about cats by French writer Colette. It was an homage to Lagerfeld’s beloved Choupette, opening with the immortal line, “I’m a cat.” Pictures from the event have been added to the photo gallery.

Last week, Helen Mirren attended the Apoxiomeno International Award in Sorrentino, Italy, to honor actress and director Betty Thomas with the award for Television Acting. Thomas was one of the very first, and to this date most-beloved, female police officers on the hit-show “Hill Street Blues”. There’s a full video of Helen’s introduction as well as pictures from the press conference and awards ceremony and dinner. Enjoy the new additions.
