Netflix has announced new additions to the extensive list of guest stars appearing on the new season of Human Resources. The series is set to premiere on March 18. The new guests include Helen Mirren as renowned Shame Wizard Rita St. Swithens, Hugh Jackman as Dante the seductive Addiction Angel, Lupita Nyong’o as Asha the Shame Wizard, Chris O’Dowd as Flanny the Lovebug, and Harvey Guillen as Jose the Spider Receptionist. Additionally, new humans appearing in the season are Ali Wong as Becca, Janelle Monáe as Claudia, Mike Birbiglia as Barry, and Tim Robinson as Doug. The new guest stars join the previously announced Pamela Adlon, Rosie Perez, Henry Winkler, Thandiwe Newton, Jemaine Clement, Maria Bamford, and Bobby Cannavale. Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph, Aidy Bryant, Randall Park, Keke Palmer, Brandon Kyle Goodman and David Thewlis star as series regulars.

From the inventive minds that brought us the award winning adult animation favorite Big Mouth comes the even edgier and adult-ier Human Resources. The spin-off pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of the creatures – Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards and many more – that help humans journey through every aspect of life from puberty to parenthood to the twilight years. It quickly becomes clear that though the protagonists are creatures, they have a lot of humanity themselves. Featuring an all-star voice cast- including Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph and David Thewlis reprising their Big Mouth roles as well as Aidy Bryant, Brandon Kyle Goodman, Keke Palmer, and Randall Park among others – “Human Resources” is not your normal day at the office. The series is co-created and executive produced by Kelly Galuska, Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Jennifer Flackett and Mark Levin.

Yesterday, Helen Mirren was honored at the 28th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony with the Lifetime Achievement Award, an accolade she says she owes to a personal mantra she lives by. “Lifetime Achievement, that sounds so grand. I supposed I’m still alive so by that measure, I’m eligible,” Mirren joked on stage to her fellow actors in the audience. “But honestly, any achievement that I’ve succeeded in is the result of my mantra, ‘Be on time and don’t be an ass.’” She said, “I’m simultaneously enormously proud, and yet I’m driven with the understanding that I absolutely do not deserve this. And there is this conflict that I believe you all understand: insecurity versus ego. That cocktail that I believe most actors sip in the evening as they contemplate the wonderful gift they received the moment they decided to become an actor.” Video clips from red carpet interviews, her acceptance speech and the press room have been added to the video archive. Please bear with me as I’m adding pictures to the photo gallery as time permits.

After a long wait of over two years, “The Duke” finally releases UK theaters today. The true story, about a 60-year old taxi driver who stole Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in 1960’s London, was filmed in 2019, premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2020 and was then postponed time and again due to the COVID pandemic. Unfortunately, the film’s director Roger Michell, who directed Notting Hill and My Cousin Rachel, among others, passed away last year and couldn’t see the release of “The Duke”, which now marks to be his last film. For the film’s release, additional interview clips and pictures have been added to the archive.

Dame Helen Mirren has appealed for donations for the hungry and vulnerable at Christmas, urging people to donate to Britain’s online food order and delivery service Just Eat’s Christmas campaign, a collaboration with the charities Social Bite and Foodcycle.

After the disappointment of last Christmas, coming together with loved ones this year will feel even more special. But for many in the UK, this winter will be a time of hunger and loneliness. But you can help those less fortunate. For the second year running, the charities Social Bite and FoodCycle, have teamed up with Just Eat to help provide Christmas meals and support to the homeless, lonely and vulnerable. When you order a meal on Just Eat, you can select an amount to give, and Just Eat will match the donation pound for pound. They’re using their network of staff, restaurants and delivery drivers as a force for good and have pledged to provide at least 200,000 meals for those in need. If you can, please donate. It’ll make a world of difference to those who need it the most.

Jason Kenny, JustEat’s managing director commented: “At Just Eat we believe in the power of food in bringing people together. This is our biggest charitable initiative to date, and we’re proud to be able to use our entire network as a force for good. We hope that together we can make a real difference to those who need it most this winter.” Josh Littlejohn, the head of Social Bites commented: “Whilst many of us will be able to share Christmas dinner with loved ones this Christmas, thousands of homeless people will spend Christmas alone on the streets of the UK and many homeless families and children will wake up on Christmas morning in temporary accommodation. That’s why we’re thrilled to be teaming up with Just Eat for a second year running for the Christmas Meal Appeal, which is going to make such a difference to the UK’s most vulnerable people.’’ In addition, Just Eat has created a directory that showcases those supplying hot meals for those with nowhere to go during the holiday season.

On Tuesday, Helen Mirren participated on a virtual press junket to promote the television premiere of “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses” on Cartoon Network, TBS, and HBO Max Nov. 28. Her interviews appeared on Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, The Today Show and The Talk. Scroll down to find all clips in the video archive. While discussing her role as host of the Harry Potter-themed fan competition series, Mirren reflected on which house she thinks she would belong to if she were to attend the fictional magic academy. “If I had to choose, I’d probably choose Slytherin, because there’s a punkishness about Slytherin that appeals to me,” Mirren told People Magazine. “You know, the bad boys on the motorbikes kind of thing.” House Slytherin is home to a number of dark witches and wizards in the Harry Potter book and film series, including Bellatrix Lestrange and Draco Malfoy – as well as Lord Voldemort himself. In the TBS and Cartoon Network four-part special event premiering Sunday, Harry Potter fans will put their knowledge to the test and compete in an intense game of trivia based on the beloved franchise. The bracket-style competition will see players compete for their respective Hogwarts Houses (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin) in teams of three, with each House competing in four battles to answer an array of questions relating to the Harry Potter saga.
