On Sunday, CBS’ Sunday Morning ran a profile on Helen Mirren and the Broadway opening of “The Audience”. The programme featured a couple of scenes from the West End run of the play and included an interview with Helen, on the play, Shakespeare, and – inevitably – the old Parkinson interview. “Woman in Gold” will have its world-premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival this February. The drama, directed by Simon Curtis, focuses on Maria Altmann (Helen Mirren), an octogenarian Jewish refugee, takes on the government to recover artwork she believes rightfully belongs to her family. The film co-stars Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Bruhl and Katie Holmes. A release date for the USA has been set for April 3, 2015.
