August 31, 2010 | 150 minutes (3 episodes)
Directed by: Matt Haan, Amelia Hann, Marta Shaw
In the sex trade, tracking down the criminals at the top is a difficult business for police. For three years cameras have followed Operation Pentameter 2 – Britain's biggest crackdown against sex trafficking. The results are being shown over three nights this week and in the first tonight, narrated by Helen Mirren in best "Prime Suspect" mode, we see officers make a series of small breakthroughs. In Cheltenham, Glos, more than 70 officers swoop on the town’s brothels. "Forget drugs," officers are told. "Human trafficking is becoming one of the biggest cash earners for organised crime."
