Here comes another great batch of archival images for the archives, split into two updates. Updates included recently unearthed pictures of Helen Mirren at the Stratford Roundhouse, which was established in the gardens behind the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Between 1970 and 1972, actors and other theatre practitioners from across the RSC performed in a series of innovative, inventive pieces. Very little has been written about this project, which seems to have been erased from the RSC’s history. The complete research by Abigail Rokison-Woodall, titled “The Stratford Roundhouse: Stratford’s Forgotten Theatre” can be ordered over here. Other images include on-set pictures from “Blue Remembered Hills”, “Mrs. Reinhardt” and “White Nights”. The second batch of this update will be posted on Sunday.
